MK1 1.8 Jap import

We just finished off fitting a new water pump, timing belt but we went to go start her up and she is turning over but no fuel.

We popped off the fuel return feed, nothing is flowing

We checked all the wiring, CAS etc and looms in general, fuses ; any tips on what to do next?

check fuel pump is priming when you turn the key to position 2 (ear on the rear shelf will confirm it), if thats ok, check fuel filter isn't blocked, if pump isn't priming, check pump fuse, if its ok then check that its getting power at the terminals and work backwards.
