Another auto to manual cvonversion ( the second one in last month).94 White mk1 1.8 absolutely mint condition.Best mx5 I have seen for years.I mean mint condition.Only 95kms on it and its white ,sold on Donedeal few weeks back in Galway I think.Underbody is as new ,exterior and interior as new.Alloys as new ,dry engine with only CAS seal oil leak.Lad would bought this car got real bargain .I would have bought it myself if I knew it was this good.Anyway auto box out and clutch fitted ready for refit manual box and get started on the wiring issues.

New to this. Wife has auto only licence, UK. Why the conversions? Is auto not good in mx5s generally. (In the market for late Mk1 auto...or am i?)

Hi Auto is ok but some members like to 2drive her on a bit " so manual is better ,but fif your happy with auto leave it as it is.Auto boxes seem ok and dont seem to give much trouble.The only thing I have seen twice with auto boxes is the little seloni=oid on the side of the box sticking.Its has pipe on it as its vacuum operated to change gear/kickdown
