Not idling quite right

1992 1.6 not idling quite right. When I give it a rev it nearly stalls. I remove this bolt from a vacuum hose on the throttle body it seems to run fine. Is this hose supposed to be going somewhere? Be nice to me, I'm new to these cars. Thanks

Leave the bolt in. that nipple is supposed to be capped off.

If it idles withe the bolt out, it probably just needs more air to increase the idle speed. See the black cap on the opposite side of the throttle body. lift that and you will see the idle screw. Before you start turning it, remember where it was first. I think it anti clock to increase speed.

It might also be you MAF (after filter on intake) which if reading faulty will cause similar problems.
