Leaking injectors!

Postby Merlot man » Thu, 14 Apr 2016 5:26 +0000

Hello all
I'm in the process of rebuilding the inlet manifold on the mk1 and one of the injectors is leaking from where it is housed to the fuel rail AHHHHH
Al was ok until I was fitting the wiring loom and I had the rotate one or two or them to fit the loom connectors ,is it simply that I've moved the seals and hav to take it apart again an do it correctly without moving them once they are in place ?
Any help / advice would be great
Thanks in advance
Brian

Hi Brian ,seal must be pinched?? They are circular seals obviously so they swivel around easily without damage but maybe when the rail was pushed down it pinched it??

You have to make sure the rail goes down evenly .Put a drop of oil or grease on them first.
