Temp sensor

Replaced the rear temp sensor in my mk1 1.6 last night but this morning I realised that no water leaked when I removed the old one. Engine was stone cold when I swapped them but thinking back it's unusual that no coolant leaked while changing them. Anyone else find the same?

Ya, coolant full alright. Car hasn't any problem with overheating or heat from the heater, just thought it strange that no coolant leaked when I took out the sensor.

If the rad cap was still on when you removed the sensor it tends to "lock" the coolant getting out as no air gets in to replace the coolant loss.Sort of hydraulic lock.Done worry about it if all is well with the car
