Eunos 1.8 Exhaust Help

Postby DJ168 » Sat, 16 Oct 2010 6:02 +0000

Hi Guys,

in need of some help!!!!! :( I have a 1994 Eunos Roadster who's NCT is looming very near. I need to do a few jobs on her before NCT. 1 of which is to fit a new exhaust section from back box up to the cat . . I got a price of 200 euros from local motor factors. To make things worse I was layed off from work this week so things are pretty tight financially and spare cash is practically non existant!!!!!!! But I still have to keep the car on the road. Have looked around including on Ebay but seems all the exhausts are in England.

Please can somebody help if they have or know of a cheap exhaust anywhere in Ireland . . . can be used as long as it's in reasonable condition and reasonable price!!!!

Many Thanks

Maybe try the likes of www.Traynors.co.uk and see if they have a good used one off a crashed car? What exactly is wrong with yours? could it not be bandaged or welded for the time being?

Thanks for that ash . . . the weld around the pipe where it goes into the box has rusted and broken off . . . If I had a welder I'd probably try and repair it . . but I don't. . so would be better off just replacing it with a good used one . . . has to be fairly decent for the NCT

Same thing happened to mine and I took it to a local guy and had it welded back on, only charged 40 euro. Looks like new so no prob with nct. Probably going to work out cheaper than buying one. Where abouts are you. Someone might know a welder local to you.
