Wiring Time Bomb

Postby TeenaG » Sat, 06 Nov 2010 9:08 +0000

:| Hmmmm had the RAC out twice last week (they're cute by the way), and then I replaced the battery. Punched the alarm outside the house on Weds and the left indicator jammed on, front and rear, fixed beam, not blinking. Did the usual, turned the alarm on and off, tried the indicators seperately, tried the hazards, turned the engine on and off, disconnected the alarm, kicked the car... nothing worked.

RAC back again and they towed the car, stowed it overnight and dropped it off to my garage the next morning. They jumped the battery and could find nothing wrong. They checked battery, alarm, fuses, wiring, couldn't find a thing wrong.

Didn't cost me a penny, but I've got a nagging feeling I'm sitting on a problem.

Any ideas

might have a ground wire loose/not grounding somewhere... difficult to trace until it happens again.
