will the rf712 be much better in terms of display ?

If you're happy with the specs buy the one with the higher resolution. Depending on your eyesight and what you're planning to use the computer for you can cram a lot more information on it. I've been using a 15" laptop with 1680x1280 for years, and another 14" with 1600 res and wouldn't go smaller. At the moment I'm also looking at Samsung 7 series and going for the highest res possible (which in the last five years or so is so difficult to find).
