Wouldn’t have been worth the drive up here
Re: Cheep Chinese stuffHave this Chinese one for over a year, no issues (bluetooth a little slow when on calls but perfect for audio), has a huge list of features :

![]() Re: Cheep Chinese stuffThat looks good Steve, I suppose being android that it’s updatable. Any idea how to find out what my one runs on
Re: Cheep Chinese stuffemmm.... in the settings section, is there "about" or "version" info?

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: Cheep Chinese stuffWell, the cheep Chinese radio seems to have caused another problem, even though it was a straight forward plug in connection it has drained the battery while the car was left without use for a few days.
As,even while disconnected from any power source the thing still kept the stored radio stations I rewired the power source so that the constant power part only gets power when the ignition key is on, so far so good. Even though the radio turned out to be free it might not be even worth that
Re: Cheep Chinese stuffWhat's the radio reception like with that radio out of curiosity ?

![]() Re: Cheep Chinese stuffHaven’t been using the car really, only been to the NCT and back since doing the re spray but reception seems to be ok, off the road declaration is over now so I’ll get it taxed and back on the road soon ,hopefully have a bit more info then .
One thing I need to do is review the way it’s wired, now the radio turns on every time the key is turned, think I’ll go back and swap over the two live wires to see if it helps
Re: Cheep Chinese stuffBattery still being drained so the Chinese radio has been replaced by what it replaced.
Went back to the kenwood that came with the car but fitted it a bit better, didn’t notice it before but the sound from the kenwood is so much better than even when it was fitted originally. No Bluetooth but no real need as it has usb that can play the music from the phone. Tried to add a pic but I’m getting a message relating to an internal error?
Re: Cheep Chinese stuff
Oh well, at least you tried the Chinese option and are a bit wiser now for it. I'm still on the hunt for a double DIN stereo for my VW T5 but it's a toss up between a Kenwood head unit and a Sony item. 1992 Eunos Roadster BRG V-Spec 1.6

It was definitely worth trying, fair play to the Wish crowd in that they gave a refund when I reported the problem with Bluetooth.
