![]() ![]() from wiki : Mazda Roadster Coupe Mazda Engineering and Technology Co. Ltd. (Mazda E&T), a division of Mazda Japan, produced a limited run of Mazda Roadsters for the Japanese market with a permanent fixed hardtop roof. The body structure was reworked to incorporate the roof for a substantial increase in chassis rigidity and a weight increase of 10 kg. A range of models were produced, from a basic 1.6 L version, to heavily restyled boutique models. No Roadster Coupes were exported, though an example upgraded to Mazdaspeed specifications was shown to international audiences. More pics/info here too : http://solo2.org/forums/thread/19508.aspx

![]() ooh! mazda did it, I thought it was one of the fastback jobbies....
they must be uber rare..... like it alot.. ![]()
![]() Extra weight....put it all in the bin.
That car is for 'the ones' who are afraid of having no roof but want an Mx5. Mx5s are and always will be, a soft top convertable ![]() Anything else is not an Mx5.
![]() Wouldn't argue with that Fergus, but how many of our "baby boomers" of recent times would have gone for one of them as opposed to giving up the mx5 due to space constraints??
