ah, so between versions they decided to make the default "active topic off" for all the forums + categories, they are reenabled now.

really? Hmmm.. nothing has changed since the last update.
Would you mind trying this? :
1) log out,
2) clear/delete your cache/cookies,
3) press ctrl+F5 to reload the page
4) try logging back in again

Thanks a mill!

What exactly is the problem? I have a high definition monitor and could barely make out the password. Why am I logged out regularly? Dosent happen elseware and is quite annoying. Rant over, sorry.

Believe me, it does happen elsewhere and worse (we have some scripts/captcha in place to avoid the worse bit).

From my post earlier in this thread :
"unfortunately it seems that several forums have been attacked in the same manner which involves a bot persistently trying to login to member's accounts. Our software catches this and after 3 attempts asks for the user to enter the letters from the image. They should get bored and move on after a few days."

More details :

Yes, it is annoying. Long term project is to migrate the forum from phpBB to MyBB or similar.

Yes same here, I still have to log in twice EVERY time to be able to read the general chat/runs threads. Even though after I log in at the first attempt it does tell I'm logged in ok....it's just that I cant read the first 2 threads.
This happens to me even when I'm trying to log in using work computer....I still have to log in twice.

Is this problem unique to me..??

I know Steve is working hard behind the scenes.

Just curious to know why.

Thanks.
John.

Could those having login issues try using this link instead :
ucp.php?i=pm&folder=inbox

It seems to be working for aquarian5 now.

Thanks
