Cheers Pete, thought they looked like the R-Speed ones alright, pity the postage is nearly the same price as the rings!!

Replaced some awful mx5parts trim springs with some nice new spax springs I bought from Fergus, transformed the ride, corners better and is less harsh.
Nothing good to say about the trim springs from mx5parts, the ride was harsh and bouncy at the same time and the drivers side sagged badly.

Took the MX5 out of its Winter hibernation, insured and taxed it, quick service and wash and wax and a quick spin to Roscommon & back, top down of course. Happy Days :D

Started to 'Frank' the new MX5. Central console and gauges in from the old car

Before that, though, replaced the broken gearstick boot with this nifty silicon version. We'll see how long it lasts.

Underneath which I put some of this heatshield material off the turbo car

Oh yeah, you know I removed the turbo and exhaust from the old car ? Also removed the various braces that come as standard with the 1.6. Very rusty, but only on the surface and they cleaned up well. The paint is just primer with a couple of coats of lacquer on top.

Those will go on at the same time as this rather pretty stainless exhaust system

Still looking for a JR CAI if anyone has one ?
