Re: Car security .. best solutions? Not sure of exact model but the car was targeted.
The perfection of a Car's beauty is that nothing should be there for beauty's sake.
![]() Re: Car security .. best solutions?sadly all anyone can do is fit a deterrent for the opportunist or chav type thief. Alarms , immobilisers , crook locks , wheel clamps , removeable steering wheels etc
if a professional car thief or gang want your car - they will take it usually by towing it away in broad daylight..its sad but very true and there is very little can be done - although its rare to hear of mx5's being targetted as its usually very high end cars ie high priced -£45000 + cars are stolen to order as for tracking devices , there are several on the market but the cheaper ones ( and one or 2 more expensive ones) dont send a signal as soon as they are surrounded by metal - ie a lorry container. Make sure your car is insured for an agreed value and all mods declared.

![]() Re: Car security .. best solutions?I was away for the weekend to come home and find both neighbours either side of my house cars had been broken into at 4am. Neighbour saw them and they scarpered, funny thing was our house was in the middle, no one at home and my lovely 5 was tucked away at the side of house untouched..thank God!
We figure they were local and assumed we were at home with 2 cars still there and but were aware we have a very LOUD DOG!! So that's my solution to ur car alarm...dog with fiercesom bark!! She has now been upgraded to sleep in the sitting room now (by fire) on car duty.
