Spent the day prepping car for nct on Sunday. Replaced all the carpets/panels/firewall/soundproofing/centre console et al which I removed last year after discovering a serious amount of water damage. Meathmazdaman, still need them 3 panels on rear parcel shelf.I know you said you have them put aside for me.
Also need about 8 or 10 of the little black "push clips?" that help keep the rear parcel shelf carpets attached to bodywork..pm me as I've misplaced your number

Hopefully get a chance to clean the bodywork during the week

Cheers Stig, going to do that this weekend. Unnecessary complexity. Aircon is next...

Stopped the car very quickly to find the source of the smoke billowing into the cabin.. pulled the stereo out of the dash.. nope, not it.. took me a sec before I saw it coming out from under the bonnet!
The filter on the camcover had snapped off and was sizzling away on the turbo!
Wheeeu!

Stripped the break calipers and disks off, sanded down rust on the body work and primed metal for spraying later on (next week ?).
Received two new lower front wishbone ball joints and two track rod ends (thanks for the link Ash).
It seems the track rod ends are in stainless so I'll have to spray them....rust is a no no even if it's stainless down there where the water goes.
Ordered two 1.6 & two 1.8 rear break rebuild kits, turbo spark plugs, performance spark leads & 1.8 front/rear pads from Mx5Parts.

Waiting.....waiting....to ROCK AND ROLL !!!!
