Fitted the Push Button starter and it works a treat. At £9.99, on e-bay, the cheapest piece of kit going.

Not when you have someone, who knows car electrics, holding your hand. Instead of replacing the cigarette lighter, fitted it in a blank beside the steering wheel.

Had brake discs and pads replaced today - not before time, they were welded on with rust. Got the pads, front and back, locally for €50 and the discs, front and back, from MX5 parts for £91.38 delivered - that's approx. €106. Local accessory shop selling front discs to trade for €57 + 21% V.A.T. EACH   What a rip-off!!!!!!!!! shower of bandit's:batman:

Feel a lot happier now and more confident on the road :D

Not today! But over the last week or so.. Polished my car for the first time.. First time to polish a car..

Checked the breaks to try get one to relise still not finished. Forgot to bring copper greese with me on hoils.... I jod for the weeks a head.

Lastly, fixed my aerial. Arrived home to it and fitted the new mast in 15mins. It now goes up and down and only cost €38 rather than €150 for whole new aerial unit.

So not a bad week!

Glen

Oh and some lovely drives... :)

I went out this evening armed with a few rags, my new car polisher from Halfords and a bottle of t-cut with the intention of de-pinking the car . (I'm holding onto the diamond glaze until I have the car garaged for the winter.)
Anyhow, typical Irish weather, just managed to get the bonnet done and it started Pi**ing rain. That bloody car polisher is a heap of sh*te too. You get a much better feel for the surface when you use the cloth...might wrap the polisher up and give it to someone for Christmas

Looking out now again and it's kinda spitting rain, getting dark, so that job is shelved for a day or two.
Newbie Jay from Athy is scheduled to drop over tomorrow evening, I offered to help him to overhaul the electric window mechanisms..hope the rain keeps off for that.

Commuting this eve I my windscreen washer pump was working only on and off.. so tried a few more times and smoke started coming out of the base of the lever at the switch! After some investigation, I think it was just dust/crap that had built up in there, going to dismantle it tomorrow (steering wheel off etc) and clean/regrease.
