Its a bloody great view alright, and very unlikely that anything will ever be built along side or behind us.

You can see over towards Stradbally in that direction. About 5 min drive) dungarvan is 10 mins the other way.
Building 1.5 story 4 bed house. just shy of 2000 sq ft.
I'll be posting more pics as the build goes on.

Looks like a nice site that looks around half acre or three quarters of an acre nice size for the type of house you are thinking of building.
I would say planing permission was difficult to obtain as planning authority seems to have a vandetta against one off builds in the countryside nowadays.
You will hopefully get a very competitive price off a building contractor since the recession hit as nothing is happening in the building industry at the moment.
You are starting at the best time of the year too the foundation, base and shell will absolutely fly up and then it starts getting really expensive a roof could be up on 15-20k.I love watching a house getting built very interesting, cant wait for the photos to start.Best of luck.

Yeah tis 3/4 acre, lots of grass to be mowing in the future might have to get a few sheep.
Good time is right, got great prices so far, getting someone in to take it to roof level, different guy in to do the roof then we will be doing a lot of the work ourselves.
Should be fun.
