What kind of bhp would you get from a turbo mx5? i know a 1.8 standard 5 gives out around 136, so i would imagine a turbo would push it up over 200!! must be scary to drive one!!!!

All depends on your setup!

Everyone will be different.

Im in the process of turboing my one now, and I know some one with the exact same set up as me, and he's putting out 236bhp.

I'm running a megasquirt pnp with a Garret t25.

Lc-1 wideband
cast manifold modded for the t25 flange
Artech oil lines
Gizzmo boost controller
exedy 3 puck paddle clutch
1.8 torsen

Some of it is fitted, some isnt, a long process, then off for mapping by joe at tdr.ie

Nice! Which manifold/downpipe did you go for?

My Lc-1 is giving me problems(again), have found it v.difficult to get running reliably, its all in the grounds apparently.

Using a modified cast ebay manifold, and custom made elbow/downpipe/catback!

I've heard that the lc-1's need a good ground alright, I've had mine in for awhile, not really sure how accurate it is until its on the dyno!
