One of the better videos I've come across of a lap of the nurburgring..an excellent ding-dong between a porsche and a caterham..just keep an eye to the front suspension on the caterham, it really does indicate the severity of the 'ring.

Dale Lomas (who runs the Alfa Ring rental companY) has a great Bridge to Gantry vid in a rough and ready MX5turbo, built from bits they had around the workshop. Mismatched tyres, no interior, and he's absolutely "flet out ova ze kerbs".

As some of my friends may know, the trusty 1990 MX-5 that taught me oh-so-much has recently received a retro-fit eBay 'Godspeed torbocharger' (sic) kit. Not only that, but it's had its Mazdaspeed shocks replaced with HSD coilovers and a whole bunch of other stuff fitted... (see a short spec after the 'read more' jump)... thanks to Speed Industries I've done a few laps today on a Nordschleife trackday... this is the fourth and final lap with mismatched street tyres and OEM pads:

Full Spec and the FIRST wet and slidey lap follows:

1990 Mazda MX5 (Miata) 1.6
Chinese eBay turbo kit with intercooler and fuel pressure reg $799usd
440cc RC injectors
Megasquirt PNP
10AE 6-speed and LSD
OEM pads and discs
Mis-matched street tyres from the garbage!
HSD Coilover system
1.8 front brake conversion

If Nürburgring, I would like to go around with her in a BMW M5! She was in the Top Gear with a Ford Transit

Why don't we organize a trip there next year?

But you can still dine in her mothers hotel :wink:

I saw that episode of Top Gear ( our fav show in our house !! )
Really enjoyed Jeremy getting whooped by a girl !!
Would love to go round that ring !!

It seems to me, She is still drivin on Nürburgring, but not the M5.
Next year I want to go home by car, to Hungary, just to show at home.

I think she has 'Profi' status now, so cannot drive on Touristfahren days, only on test days.
A few of the Octane boys were there recently, had a ball in the rental Swifts.

Bernie and I have done the Nurburgring... in a VW LT van.. not as quick as Sabine, we got passed by a Belgian grandmother in a Nissan Micra! Good craic.

The 'Ring is almost indescribable, there does be so much going on there. I can't wait to return
