well , after a busy weekend of viewing , test driving and haggling , i think i have found my Zed



its a jap import , brembo brakes , 6 speed , 43000 kms , brembos , ginger heated electric seats , bose audio, parrot bluetooth, some sort of phone adapter in the rear cubby box, subwoofer behind drivers seat, everything else is relatively standard - from what i can tell its the ST model but with no cruise control, it has VDC aswell - its the jap equiv of the uk spec GT


bad points
- clutch slave cylinder needs replacing
- drivers window motor is stuffed
- passenger side dash cupholder wont stay in
- dte / average mpg computer thing is all in kms
- front pads are on the lowish side
- tiny trolley ding on drivers door
- tiny bit of kerbing on front drivers wheel
- gearknob is a bit tatty

good points
- hes going to mot it for me
- sort the electric window and clutch slave
- he put 6 months tax on it this morning

the guy selling it seems really quite genuine and is actually a really nice guy.

nice rig and they have a lovely engine
mate of mine is thinking bout putting a engine out of one into his manta

second hand engines are in the region of £1500

but in terms of servicing- they have a timing chain so no worries here

fuel filter £13.50
6 platinum sparkplugs £50
air filter £5
rear brembo pads £28

so they arent that expensive in terms of servicing

tyres on the other hand £600 for a full set
