SOLD My Car - Time to day good bye!

Postby MX5Steve » Mon, 31 Oct 2011 11:35 +0000

My little five has left the building :( Ive really enjoyed my last four years checking in on this forum, although alot less in the last 2 years with the extra kiddies coming along. I wont be here very much in the future,, but the proud new owner only registered himself on the forum recently so I'm sure hell be posting soon. I wont be able to resist popping in and checking out how hes getting on.

Best of luck to all in five world - Hopefully I'll be back some day!!!!!

Many thanks to Steve, Ash (mx5ash), Dave (sspecdave) for their great help and legendary advice.

PS. Ye got a nice logo out of me anyway :P

Signing out......

Hey Steve, best of luck in your new role as "Mr Sensible"

Do keep popping in and out here, sure you'd never know, you may not be able to cope with that empty space in the driveway and may just have to return at some time in the future

Only seeing this now,

I would like to say that I could tell by looking at Stephen that he didnt really want to sell the car, you could see hesitation, on the other side he could probably see how excited I was about the car, Id say it was probably the quickest car deal ive ever done, honestly. Usually i spend looking bout 1-1.5 hour at the car etc, the minute Stephen pulled into midway car already looked brilliant, I had a quick look around and i couldnt really fault the car give the age, after going for a test drive I was more than impressed, car is tight as a drum, not a sqeak or a rattle out of it. After the test drive I simply said im going to take it off him, at this stage i was already itching to drive it home :)

Ill keep ye posted on updates with the car as I go along, ive lots of plans for it already, but I want to give her bigger service first, Engine oil, filter, diff oil, box oil, t/belt, and then ill worry about the mods.

Thanks for very quick and pleasant deal Stephen,

P.S as i said to ya in he carpark, dont buy a passat TDI,

Steve all the best in the future. I'm sure we'll welcome you back once the kids are further along the way. You have been and will be missed.
