Hows it going lads?
Is anyone looking for a 1.6 limited slip diff?
I bought one a while ago but when I went to install it at the weekend it turns out that there is a 1.8 Diff and drive shaft already in The 1.8 drive shaft is too short for the 1.6 Diff, so I'm going to look for a 1.8 LSD instead cause that will handle the turbo power better.
Any interest?
Also anyone know where the best place to find a 1.8 LSD is?
Thanks
Hugh

Do you have a 1.6 or 1.8 hugh?
1.8 diffs come up a bit in the uk on ebay and the like but shipping would kill you unless you could go over and collect it.
Hugh you don't say if I have a 1.6 drive shaft and half shafts to go with that diff. if anyone is interested in getting this off hugh and needs them i have some in the shed.

Funny men here arent we.....
I have a 1.6, but the previous owner changed the diffs to a 1.8 at some stage.
I have the 1.6 half shafts, but not a 1.6 drive shaft.
If you are putting it into a car with an existing 1.6 drivetrain then the drive shafts and half shafts that you already have should do fine.
My problem was that I didnt know that the previous owner had swapped the diffs till I had the new one in....
Now that what I call a waste of a morning....

you had it in before you realised? Oh Gawd..
Still.. you won't blow up the current diff too quickly..
Are you sure its an open diff and not an LSD/Torsen in there at the mo?

Tell me about it, it was the "daddy" of all jobs to get the shagging thing out as well....
I dont really know, i dont think so cause the current one seems to spin one tyre when accelerating hard out of a bend.
Cant be sure though.

If it was 3 months ago i would have bitten your arm off but i got one now.
Looks like the bay it is. you should get decent money for it.
Did you said you had the half shafts and the drive shaft to go with it? if not I've some you can stick with it if you want em.

How much did you pay for yours?
I dont know how much to put it up for.
I have two half shafts, but I was told to keep one in case the left rear bearing goes, so that I can swap out the end of shaft.
