Steering has been slowly getting heavier so it’s time for a overhaul. New bottom ball joints, tie rods, tie rod ends, rack boots and top arms. Delivered to my door total cost just short of€250

one side, hopefully the top arms are the same as these ones are for cars with abs which I don’t have. Think the only difference is a bracket

Nice one, Yeah think it's just that small bracket.

Had one side completely dismantled as soon as I knew the parts were on the way, had to put it all back together so that I could get it out of the garage and get the avensis in. 2012 d4d avensis alternator failure, bit of a pig of a job , all done from underneath even needed to remove the driveshaft

Ah well, it’s now on 153000 miles so €50 alternator repair cost isn’t bad.
Need to get back to the mx5 now though, just taxed it again so no point leaving it on the long finger

You're right, at 25000 miles a year and a €50 euro repair, that good going.
It's always a nice feeling replacing nice new parts to the car - although not always so nice when the bill has to be paid for them!

All fitted now, just to give it a spin to settle it down then do the tracking
New arms seem to have a better reinforcing part
