Good luck restoring this but what I’d love to know Is where do ya find them .
Loads of adverts by guys saying old cars removed for free etc

Thanks lads.. I found this on Facebook sales. It turned out to be fairly local to me and I kinda know the guy selling it.. so I went with it.. bonnet is fairly rotten but the tub is in good order. Chassis looks to be ok but won't really know until I tear it down. Engine is not in it but it had a skim and porting before it was left.. the guy I'm buying it off was given it as a part exchange and never got round to it. He has another one which is immaculate. he actually has about 15 cars.. all old and worth money. Mercs, triumphs, a porsche, a capri. A couple of cortinas etc.

Looks good . Rimmer Brothers ??in UK do lot repair panels for them.I have soft top frame only if you ever need one!!

I had Spitfire mk3 1971? only year or two ago, with bodywork done , needed painting but I old it on to enthuiast ?? in N.I.

Yeah cheers for that Robert.. I've been on their website.. probably wind up givin them a small fortune over the next couple of years :D
