Great weather for the mx5, anyone here have any recent pictures of your trips?

I'm still here too. I was out for a run in the Sun to a Classic and Vintage show in Milford today.
This was one of the cars on show.

I like the chrome details, the wire wheels fit on the standard studs.

This run was also the first trial of my latest addition to my car, Window Spoilers or
Foilers, as they call them on Miata.net. I bought these in the Mr Price shop in Letterkenny.

They come in a pack of 4 for two euros. This is what they look like fitted.

The idea is that even though they are small,(and mine are smaller than the ones
shown in photos on the USA cars) they should make it more comfortable to drive
at higher speeds with the windows fully down.
Today we had a slight breeze here and I could cruise along at 80 kph with both
windows down without any buffeting. At 100 kph raising the passenger window
a few inches did help with the increased air flow.
I can't speak for other models of MX5s, but the improvement that these make for
the ND for the cost of €2 is something to shout about.
According to the weather forecast I might get a chance later this week to see if these
make the same difference driving top down in the rain.

Hi Tom, good to see someone else on here, mrGees came back for a few posts after having difficulty trying to access the site but not sure if he's having issues again.
Nice green mx5 at that show but I'm not sure about the wheels, I suppose it's unlikely they are actually wire wheels.
The deflector idea looks good, anything that helps keep the draft coming around the back of the neck can only help

Those wheels are real wire spoke types. The spokes are about 5 or 5.5 mm dia.
and are chrome plated to a very shiny finish. Back when I had my Triumph Spitfire
I was thinking of something similar, but the spin on ones that came with hub adaptors
were quite expensive at the time. These ones bolt directly on to the hub studs.
