Hey all,
So I'm all new to the world of MX5 and today after having the car for 4 days I had the back end kick/skid on me (Scary yet addictive). SO I wanted to Say Hi, my name's Derrick and I'm confused.
I will be posting my pictures of my new 1992 BRG 1.6 mx5 later today
PS where and when is there a meeting as I would love to meet up. (Loads of questions).
Never knew what fun was till I found the MX5

Hi Derrick,
Welcome to the 'club' which is not really a club but yet still a club.
We're not too official about it which makes everything pretty cool.
I joined earlier this year and been to 3 meetings. I tell ya, they're really good, great fun and super easy going.
There's a big one coming up on the 10th of Aug (The Midlands Run). Hope to see you there & welcome to the world of proper motering, cruising, tyre kickin', etc...

Tanks all for the welcome. I think I'll like this club.
I'm about to go back home this morning where I can actually give my car a proper wash and clean it desirves. I have to do some work on the car but that's the fun bit right?
I ordered some new speakers but I don't know how to take the interior of the door off to replace them. Any advice or is there a tech day soon. Oh and I'm going to the run on the 10th

That looks like a really original 5 you have there.
Speakers are a easy to replace. I got a set off infinity components in the doors, they are very good for the price.
Think these are the ones 6.5" but let me check if you are going to order them.

I got the speakers on the way. Should arrive in the next day or so. but removing the interior of the door looks complecated. in north dublin have a few minutes to spare. show me how to take it off and on
or manuals?

Its really easy mate, 3 screws and the door handle comes off, i screw and the door cup comes off. Gently pull off the door panel all the way around bottom edge and the sides. They are just held in place with trim clips. Once you get into it you will soon get the hang off it.
