Well finally got around to fitting my FM rear shock mounts and new FM springs the other day and i am really happy i did as the car has been transformed.
It feels really smooth and tight now and combined with the poly bumpstops on the rear too the car does not hop around in the rear now.
I have to say the Eibachs were better through flat corners but my alignment is well out so might get it sorted this week.

"Steve is that copper grease you used to fit the bushings"

Yup, lots on the drivers side, nothing on the passenger side.. we'll see if it makes any difference in time ;-)

How low is your car now?

Its a little lower than i thought it would be.I think im currently sitting at 13" from centre of 15" wheel to arch at the front and a little higher at the back but not much they give an evened out look to the car.
They are a much stiffer spring than others and I tought i was in for a real hard ride but with the AGXs set at 4 all round its just very smooth, planted.
The most noticeable change is not been sat on the bumpstops at the rear anymore as the shock mounts were supplied with poly bumpstops.I would advise anyone who is thinking of lowering a 5 to bring this into consideration as it creates a terrible ride in the rear the car does feel like a boat sometimes when you hit a bump or pothole bouncing up and down.
If i had it all over again i would just get P5s new coilovers as they are getting great reviews and it cuts out alot of hassle.

My first solo oil change (not counting the lawn mower... memo... yet to be done). Biggest hassle was getting the car firmly sitting on axle stands. The manual "Do it up" said the sump nut was 17", but twas a 19" (is this a Eunos/MX difference?). Now have nice oil pressure and a happy engine for Galway. Next up....new springs...

Had the car aligned this morning, feels v.good so far (judging from my commute).

Next up... fix the oil drip (the turbo return line just needs tightening) and the exhaust rattle (heat shield needs a band clamp).

looked at my wheels and thought about how the ebc brake pads dust like a bastard and its gonna be a balls to keep the polished rim clean.
Then i thought feck it, put the roof down and went for a spin in the sun. 8)

Another thing for the BIN - that heat shield !
It's only needed in HOT(er) countries.....not Ireland unfortunately
