Replaced driver's door seal, removed window slider channels and cleaned all the old gunk out, lots of it. Window going down AND up again now! Will do passenger side during the week.
Thought I'd do the simple job of replacing 2 broken bolts on the car to hold the spot lamps.. which turned out to be a 2 hour ordeal involving a broken drill bit in one of the holes. Job done now TG.

replaced the unit behind the steering wheel that spontaniously combusted a few weeks ago. Windows are stuck again though.. think I've sourced the problem.. the plastic guides that hold the window and run on the metal track are worn allowing too much play.

Nice one Ger. How did the FMIC go? You should have given me a shout for a hand. Was it much hasssle? Did you have to go somewhere to empty the AC tank?
Had a run in it yet?

Workin' on it.. think they might be specific to this kit though.. might see if I can cut a teeny strip of alu to run on the metal track inbetween the two. leamyj wrote:Did you get a new stalk assembly or did you pick up a replacement from a breakers??

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!1! Is this thread called: "What did you do to your MX5 today?"Or is it called: "What did some random dudes at my place of employment do to your MX5 while you weren't around?"For shame... for shame. (I kid! I kid because I love!)

BTW, I was going to work on the MX5 outside our house, but... well, there was a lion. It's a long story.
