fitted a front strut brace from JAP PARTS, alloy bar and adjustable ends. Dont think it will make shag all difference as i could push down on the bar before fitting and it flexed.
Cleaned th MAF Sensor too.......K&N filters dirty them quite quickly i believe.

Replaced the rear pads and greased the slide pins tonight.

Also fitted the hardtop - but the fabric lining is drooping again, so I ripped it all off. Going to fit some Dynamat Extreme and glue on some new fabric at the weekend.

Hi Frank,

Is the Dynamat Extreme soundproofing and if so how good is it?

It's amazing stuff - I put it in the Merc and it solved a booming noise from the exhaust in the boot. I bought this stuff in the States and suitcased it over, it's about 1/2 the price it is in Ireland. You can get it cheaper in the UK, but if you're going to the States, that's the best place to get it

The MX5 hardtop had foam padding under the black headliner, but the glue had gone bad so I ended up removing everything right back to the fibreglass. Need to scrub the remains of the glue off before I roll the Dynamat on.

Bought it on ebay about 3/4 months ago and only just got round to installing it. I'll look up my emails and see if I still have contact details. Cost was only about €12.

Silver surround is my own and top drawer has coins in white print and bottom drawer with cup holder both of which can be carefully scrapped off with a blade.

Will pm if I can find the info.

no worries, otherwise you'd not have been able to change stations with your hot cup of brew in place!
