Alright, here's the plan....

Sunday 2nd May 2010

Meet Dun Laoghaire Ferry Terminal 12pm ish
Depart on 13.15 ferry
Arrive Holyhead 15.05

Drive to Premier Inn Dover (A20) - Approximate driving time 6hours plus stops.
Have a bit of a kip!

Monday 3rd May 2010

Depart hotel 7am drive to SeaFrance ferry terminal to arrive by 7.30
Depart on 08.15 ferry
Arrive Calais 10.30 local time

Drive to Nurburg - Approximate driving time 5 hours plus stops

Stay near Nurburgring 3 nights

Thursday 6th May 2010
Depart Nurburg 9am ish
Drive to Calais - 5 + hours to arrive by 16.30
Depart Calais 17.20 ferry
Arrive Dover 17.45

Drive to Days Inn - Oxford services - Approximate driving time 2.5hours
Have a bit of Burger King and a kip! ;)

Friday 7th May 2010
Depart hotel 9am
Drive to Holyhead to arrive by 15.30
Depart Holyhead 16.20 Ferry
Arrive Dun Laoghaire 18.10

Go home, recover!



Costings

Stenaline landbridge with SeaFrance to France including Fast ferry supplement €270 (car + driver) Return
Additional passenger €50 Return

Premier Inn Dover (A20) £29 per room (for 2) for night - must prepay, no changes no cancellation to get rate

Accommodation at 'ring:
Hotel Am Tiergarten - currently no rooms available, may change closer to the time

Self catering: Lindner Ferienpark
3 bed house for max 5 people €375.30 for 3 nights
3 bed house for max 6 people €429.30 for 3 nights

Days Inn Oxford £59 per room (for 2) or £54 per single

Petrol - minimum spend €350

Laps of the Ring - 2009 prices
Single lap €22
4-lap ticket €75 -15%
8-lap ticket €145 -18%
15-lap ticket €250 -24%
25-lap ticket €390 -29%
66 laps Breakeven point for a Jahreskarte Jahreskarte €1,075

Just need any other Lurkers to decide if they are coming or not
and we book it then. I think the self catering looks good between 4 of us it's only 95 euro for the 3 nights. Shena i am taking it you have sorted your own accommodation?

I think we should have it booked by the end of thsi week as good places do get booked out.

looking good Ivan, I got a pm from a lurker, waitin for a call from him to see is he confirming.

All in all, well have 4 cars and 5 people confirmed,more i'd say to come.

Come on people, you could be dead next year!

I think the couple of self catering houses is the best option then.

Yes Ivan (on both sides of the channel) and it sounds like we will be meeting you at the ferry terminal at Dover unless you guys get in early enough and fancy a pint! I'll be staying 20 mins away.

I'll join you on the ferry across to France if that's ok? We're getting the Rosslaire boat across on the Saturday .. 9am slow boat but it gets us in around 12:30.
