What did I do to my mx5 today? I took an angle grinder to it ( which had been stripped for parts) and now I've got a massive 3d jigsaw puzzle of a '91 mk1 mx5 1.6, red..NOT pink..... in my garden

Prob a fuse not a relay, relay is pass side of engine bay by firewall under a cover iirc. Search fuse diagram on here and you Should find a translation, sure I put it up before.

Got them working. I took the console off and radio out and it must have jiggled a bad connection. What a rats nest of wires between the immobilizer and the radio I will clean it up eventually.

Took the wood trim around the gearshift off. I'm trying to figure out if I can make a replacement, fix the cracks in this one, buy a new one or find an old one for sale.

Continued to pour money into my baby..... :?

Got a new alternator put in
Replaced the brand new battery it destroyed (although that's under warrantee, so not so bad)
Stripped out the 10 year old alarm system that was acting up and draining power intermittently
Got a new Cobra alarm fitted at great expense..... seems good, anyone any feedback? (bit late now though!)...
Discovered my clutch is on the way out :( grrrrrr
Climbed Elbrus, Island Peak, Kilimanjaro, Elgon, Everest BC, Mulhacen, Elgon, Kayaked the Liffey to the Nile, swam the Liffey, the Lee & packed ten triathlons into a year... catch me blogging on: http://www.teenagates.com
