I have a friend who does machining and I think he would give the channel a polish for me. Next is why it over heated. Clearly it's out of love and not practicality.

No you won't !!
Actually it is a bit of a pain as it works loose all the time and don't look at the bad paint finish on the boot lid it needs repainting and someone who will remain nameless left a plastic sheet over it and it bubbles !!! will be done by the winter !!

Mel, at least when you were aggrieved by the customs you didn't burn them out like the diesel launderers did with the lorry full of evidence after the raid in Monaghan yesterday.
