heh, yeah, the roads were lethal on Sunday morning, Gill had a tank slapper moment near Oranmore, so took it v.easy after that.
Did some fiddling with the fuel on the way back today And remembered to save it!

What kind of fiddling did you do steve, even out the fuel map? Need to do something with mine.

Even with the map I am very happy with, I still get some 9s here and there. Can't seem to tune them out

yeah, the motorway from Limerick to Gort is v.handy for it
I just auto-tuned cruise rows, then started on the zones around it until they were all 5s. The long downhill bits were handy to do the 100 rows. When I got home I smoothened it all out horizontally and vertically, then stored.
Ash, if you are NA, AFAIR you can just lean out the rows till you feel power going down, then add a couple of points.

Have also changed my zf200 and zf300 to 2 points below the 100 row (the 300 row went from 100 to 76!), so hoping the cold start will catch on the first go, will see.

Timing belt kit installed, water pump too. All working and happy.

I powerwashed the engine bay yesterday during the car's downtime. Think I may have damaged the O2 sensor, it's giving a fixed reading (not changing values).

Still, sensors are cheap and easy to replace

not controversial Mel.. It's just that those who have modified their engines tend to be constantly chasing utopia and the added stresses of a turbo kit on an engine does require additional maintenance...Frank's timing belt breakage is something that could happen to any of us, whether turbo'd or not

Quite alot done today , treated mine to a new radiator and top hose the old rad was ok but looked tired and the coolant was just rotten looking.
The pipes to the overflow bottle were full or crud and totally blocked up and the bottle itself was mankey.
Then fresh engine oil filters , and sparks followed by new gearbox and diff oil , also discovered it has a limo fitted nice , next week its rear wheel bearings and perhaps a set of gaz shocks ....decisions decisions

was on a run with our local club today. did some of the run we did up here last year, Annagry to Dunfanaghy and on to Carrigart skipping the Atlantic Drive, out Fanad Head and up Knoockalla to Rathmullan where we stopped for dinner. Roof down all the way. Knockalla was good with 2 mx5s, 2 mk1 and 3 mk2 escorts, 3 capris, one a 2.8, a manta, an audi quattro, a 911, a renault 5gt turbo, a mk3 escort RS turbo, a mini cooper and a cavalier 130i giving it a lash. we also had a few other more leisurly cruisers, 2 mk2 cortinas, a few 70s toyotas, a beetle, a mk2 cavalier conv. and a merc 350 sel. 26 cars in all. A very enjoyable day was had by all.

Nice selection!! The Renault 5 turbo..now that's one of my all time favourites ( apart from the mx5 of course!)
