Car overheating

Postby rockdrummer4 » Thu, 02 Feb 2012 8:49 +0000

Well driving to work this morning, noticed the hot air not coming out, it was slightly warm air... was not overheating at this stage.

Most of my driving is on the motorway, but noticed when I got to town and stopping at traffic lights the car started to overheat, then Id start off again and the needle would be going up and down - very strange.

Any ideas what the problem is?

did they use a genuine mazda thermostat ?

some dealers use pattern parts , so its worth checking.

as for driving 25 miles without the coolant circulating round the radiator - i wouldnt advise it, unless you want to change the head gasket aswell ?
