Did heaps of work today , bigest job was a nice new roof fitted , 4 hours work , not the easiest job but not impossible either , also treated the door inner panels , boot and parcel shelf with a sound deadening product called raam mat , and last but not least , all new ball joints and rod ends up from and an alignment session , has transformed how the car feels on the road , very few rattles now and no leaks either thank fully

Thanks , Its not an easy job as such , but i think it requires more patience and close following of the instructions than rocket science , took me around 4 hours and 3 mugs of tea from start to finish , would be happy to help anybody else taking the job on now that i have an idea whats involved

I've never fitted a roof, but you wouldn't be the first to realise that it's not the hardest job in the world.
Well done

My other mx5..the mk2..has been "resting" in the yard for almost twelve months now, she's suffering a bad case of tinworm. I had to move her today, checked oil level and coolant, still petrol in the tank, jump started from another battery, fired up on the first turn of the key...you gotta love these little cars. I was really tempted to take her out for a blast, but no tax or NCT meant I had to resist :(
On a happier note, the mk1 is now taxed, but nct is out...but I did take that one for a spin  I reckon no nct is a lesser offence than no tax..hopefully the judge might think so too if I get caught

started her up and took her out of her winter bed, removed the hardtop, hoovered and washed ready for Paddys day. Will re-activate the insurance during the week. can't wait to get out for a good shake-down.
