Stopped on the side of the motorway with a flat tyre and heavy misty rain soaking me to the bone while fitting the spare.

Just as well my mate had a set of 4 part worns left out for me in the tyre shop he works in. And he was only 3 miles away.

Try Robert (Autocheck). Also mx5 parts sell them individually.

MX5 Parts and Autolink both sell them as singles.

I have yet to get my front suspension off the car :( but the back should be going together this week :)

Thanks guys, sorted now, Merlot man is giving me one for Christmas :santa:

Yolo, be warned... the nuts on the alignment bolts and lower shock mount are very similar looking but very different ;-)

Thanks Steve being a novice I have been trying to take note of everything as it comes off so I unbolted and put them together again where they came out so I didn't get things mixed up. Hopefully all should go together ok once I finish the bushes which are dragging on a bit mostly due to work kids and christmas but hopefully soon. Then the fronts

Fingers crossed!

Got the last suspension bolt in, the split pins in + the others nipped up.
Couple of rear light cluster seals arrived in the post and picked up some new washer jets (fan type) from Ford.

Replaced the starter motor, tricky enough job, ended up with tool like below to loosen 2 of the 3 bolts.
Thanks Robert for advice.

Starter in an awkward place on mx5, you need to support the car well in order to get 2 of the bolts positioned to the right of the transmission.

Put the car in for NCT..Passed EVERYTHING with flying colours EXCEPT a visual on the underside..they say that the door sills on nearside are suffering from primary structural corrosion.FFS, how did I not notice that one, even though we had it up on a ramp prior to purchase? , I have been told that the NCT has gotten more difficult than ever to pass and they are only looking for the slightest excuse to have you come back and throw more money at them. Anyhow, will have to get it looked at asap. Too wet right now to be crawling under a car in this weather..
