HELP! Locked out!

Hi Folks, I have read on here that is really easy to break into our cars..... and now I need to.. Keys locked in. Boot is open if that helps (I doubt it).

Appreciate that maybe PM the advice is the way to go, thanks for any tips. tried a steak knife to open the lock, no joy yet!

Update? Open boot not gonna help you much. Try wire or strapping ( like what is on a bale of briquettes) with a loop twisted and pushed in between the glass and rubber seals to get to the lock..it's never failed for me on other cars..just never done it on an mx5....

if you have a zip out rear window, unzip it from outside...easily done by slipping your hand in...then clamber in all undignified.
