a sand and a solder should do it Fla.
John, did they deform on the engine bay side? V.soft pipes, copper I think. To round them out again, use a small socket on an extension to pry it out a bit, then a larger one and so on until its round again.

Ya I was thinking a fresh set of plugs and solder them on. I get I'll have to make a new insulated mount as well as that one is disintegrated and the other speaker is similar. I also need to buy a box of all those connectors.

Thanks Steve, yeah, engine bay side. I pulled the hose back from the firewall and managed to get a seal, but would be a bit concerned that it may not hold under pressure..will try to round out the pipe at the weekend! john

didnt have any spare cash this week for new shiny parts etc so i got stuck in and gave the engine bay a good clean. i removed the cam cover, intake manifold, ARC intake chamber and the strut brace, cleaned and sprayed the cam cover HT red, cleaned and painted the intake mani HT silver grey, with the strut brace i removed the badly applied paint and polished up the strut and painted the legs black to match the bay, cleaned and polished up the ARC chamber. while i was at it i removed a few bits and pieces that i dont need in the car like the carbon canister. heres before and after pics: happy with the change its made to the bay but still have lots more i want to do to tidy it up, wanna do a bit of a wire tuck, rewrap the exhaust manifold and a few other bits n bobs

My green 5 passed the NCT today. Change of ownership to my better half now to avoid back tax and off we go.
