@davith501 might be wort trying the air filter to the right of the washer bottle next to the firewall. This is a high pressure area and seems to be one of the cooler areas to locate an air filter. Messed around with a temp sensor measuring different intake positions and this was the best.

Was considering going through firewall and getting pressurised air from there but drilling was my last option. It does make sense what you are saying..it's the corner that traps the airflow..good advice..definitely will try that next and thanks for that. Have you any thoughts on having it like this?

I fitted a Pipercross induction kit and polished soft top. Sounds and looks great.

Fitted some mk2.5 seats to my mk1 (thanks robert) and made a nice office chair out of the old passenger seat, very comfortable, going to put a jack on the speaker wire and plug into the computer.

Ha! Love it

Had to take apart my rear brake again yesterday as it was sticking, took the piston out a bit further and cleaned off the gunk + lube'd it up with brake fluid. Think I see a new piston being needed early in the new year.
Also took out the air intake temp sensor as it was causing boost cut/readings flicking up and down, turned out that the connector was oxidized all back together and readings now solid.

Replaced the fuel filter on my MK 2.5... Pig of a job. Those fancy connectors were very hard to get off. Got their in the end though with a bit of swearing and fiddling.
