Was looking at the accuweather app, currently only 20% of the country is getting rain..and we're in the feckin' middle of it..they stopped the golf in Straffan for fear of lightning. Tomorrow there's between 30 and 55 percent chance of getting some rain, however intermittently, I'm still gonna give it a try...I am a little bit concerned that the last time I lead a run through Wicklow when it was raining ended up with my first mk1 being written off.....so there'll be no foolhardiness on the bends..the straights will be a different matter

I'll give it a miss this time - was hoping my first run would at least be a top-down experience so I'll wait til there's one on a slightly better day where the car can be enjoyed a bit more!

Best of luck if you do head out yourself leamyj!

Well that went exceedingly well, 5 cars top down (except the rx8) for 99% of the run, God knows how many miles of tourist free roads and all finished off with a lovely lunch in Germaines of Baltinglass. Pics to follow, hopefully...I was too busy driving!!
