Location of engine number ? ? And spec query

Postby Lynott » Fri, 04 Jul 2008 12:27 +0000

Can anyone post the location of the engine number of a NA6CE please? It says unknown on the log book.
Also what are the differences between a high spec and a standard NA6CE 1991 Eunos Roadster. I wanna have as much ammunition as I can when I vrt my 5 and try and pursuade the nice people that mine is a standard 5. The Co2 emmissions on the high spec model are 202 which means road tax is 1,000euros per annum. On the standard spec Co2 are 161 which means 430 euros per annum. The V5 (u.k. log book) decided to arrive to me 2 days after the changes ! ! Bloody Greens, soon they'll have us all wearing grass skirts !!

check the "how do I?" section for the engine number.
No idea about standard or high specification - I thought that was just a VRO thing - I declared mine as a standard model and there was no questions asked.
As for the road tax thing, I enquired in the VRO when I cleared my roadster last week... You'll pay the 36% vrt but your road tax will still be based on engine size because the car was originally registered before 2008.
Other than that tough luck on the logbook arriving late... the dvla are so slow processing them. Mine took about 5 weeks to arrive.

I just plugged my NA into the Revenue website & came up with VRT of 480. Prior to CO2 change it was quoting 490.
