After last weeks 'nearly' engine bay fire and steamy coolant leak incident. The flippin fuel pump decided to give up the ghost on the way home last night. I gotta start carrying a warm fleece in the car. Standing around wearing a suit is not very comfortable these nights.

Mr AA towed me to my mechanics place but fair to say my gra for my five is at it's lowest ebb at the moment.

That said the lend of a Seat Ibiza is all I need to want my car back and sure we'll give her a hug when she's all better

:? ohhhh man, bugger.

Some of it just might be John. turned out the fuel pump is fine. The timing belt snapped.

Hey Ger,

The electrical probs actually started with the air filter rubbing off the wires on the wiper motor. Caused a short and a lot of smoking from the fuse box.

Haven't had a chance to sort the boost leak. Been busy just trying to keep her driving. Ordered the timing belt, water pupm etc on Friday so hope to get em tomorrow.

Nice one for finding those bits for me. House no is 364. If I'm not there just put them in the green bin.

Thanks again

Fitted new blue led interior bulb (http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info. ... ts_id/1767) to go with the interior - looks nice - also fitted clear relflectors on the sides to replace the red and amber ones (did'nt wire them up - have'nt decided if I'll go down that road yet - http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info. ... cts_id/195) - also fitted new headlight bulbs http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info. ... s_id/1943- hoping to be able to see better in the dark - as I don't like carrots !!! - oh and washed the car - badly needed

Had to pop out the dash today, as I hit a bump yesterday and it knocked the chrome centre off the speedometer! Took out the dash, fixed the problem and replaced it, in working order  in under 20 mins!!

I managed to ding my Max coming out of T3 at Mondello :(

Luckily the damage was cosmetic, though the towing Eye is slightly nudged to one side.

Anyone know where I'd pick up a bumper, in case I can't repair this one? :)
