Timing Light

Postby fabfiveferg » Fri, 20 Nov 2009 2:55 +0000

Anyone have a timimg light I could use in the Dublin area?

Got my car back with new timing belt etc on but he seems to have set the timing at standard and I've no power at the bottom end. Of course now I can't get hold of him

Yeah i have 2, was bidding on 2 on e-bay and messed up one bid and ended up buying both so one is for sale.
Its a MAC Tools with inductive pickup, box and instructions with advance dial on it.
Cost me 80 euros. Well worth it.

Yeah thought of that. doesn't seem to be the case. it's running ok but not quite right now. Might be a problem with the cam angle sensor. Will confirm that when my cheapskate €20 Timing light arrives from ebay

Good idea is right!!!!!

Watch if your light has timing advance features as the 5 employs a lost spark ignition system so your advance dial will read double the actual timing if if dial it back to zero degrees.
