![]() Re: Tech day 16th of januaryI would like to change my gearbox and diff oil. Also I have new brake pads to fit and would like to bleed brakes n clutch. Wouldn't mind some expert eyes checking other stuff as preventative measure to keep servicing on track.
I have basic tools but living in apartmentland, I do not have space for trolley jack, axle stands etc. Can do most things when I know what I am doing (and sometimes even when I do not know what I am doing...) but expert advice and tricks n tips to make things go quicker would be great along with copious mugs of coffee, smoking area plus Lidl Bourbon Creams would make it a perfect day.... I'll bring the bourbon creams as a counterpoint to Jaffa Cakes... Looking forward to it!! JohnC

Re: Tech day 16th of januaryFor those unfamiliar with the tech day formalities:
Ivan's place is not a garage, so any equipment needed must be brought or arrangements made to borrow on the day. All consumables..filters/waste oil/plugs etc must be removed on the day also, please allow for containers for waste product etc., Past practice has shown that a bit of planning can make the whole thing run smoothly so be sure of what you need for your intended job, and if you don't have a particular piece of equipment then ask..someone who is going to the tech day may have it. Jaffa Cakes are most welcome, as are Kimberley, Mikado, Coconut creams, Bourbon creams, Nice....any sugary products in fact. If you're diabetic then hard luck..Marietta will suffice ![]() Don't forget the milk!! Anyone else wish to add to this protocol??
![]() Re: Tech day 16th of january
Thanks. That makes it clear what needs to be planned for in terms of disposal of consumables etc. What about stuff that makes things easier but that not everyone has? - trolley jack, axle stands or stuff that might be lying about in a proper home garage - drain tubes, drain pans etc. Can anyone bring any of this stuff? I can bring sockets and spanners.... not much else I'm afraid... Is there a recycle centre close by that will accept engine oil etc? John C
![]() Re: Tech day 16th of januaryI'll be there and can bring a couple of ramps if needed. (halfrauds job)
Re: Tech day 16th of januarymay be going with father-in-law to ep mooneys liquidation auction, so i might call by. have sis living in blanch, just off the clonsilla road so you all won't be too far away. not bringing the 5 up as she's too cosy in the garage.
Re: Tech day 16th of januaryWhen/where is the EP Mooney auction ?
And is there a 'catalog' and viewing day in advance ? It's a small world after all. It's a small, small world
