Postby Fla » Sun, 06 Jun 2010 11:50 +0000

Was looking at these:

They look nice but surely the 10% power increase in bull is it? They seem very cheap for a stainless header??

fla

a 4-2-1 manifold will not add power per se , but it will move the torque band around

you will find you will have more torks midrange and less topend.

alot of these budget manifolds arent tuned properly (probably copies of some jap part) , however you will see an improvement.

a maxim works manifold which is the daddy of manifolds will properly change the torque delivery of a 1.8 engine

also be careful that some of the stud holes that mate to the head might not be just as perfect as you would like and some need reamed out with a file to get them to fit perfectly.

That looks like the OBX headers i have on one of my cars ,works very well.
I cleaned of the welds a bit to match it with the engine thats all.
If it is the OBX it has a nice finish to.
