Use your hair drier to melt the glue before pulling off the stripe.
Petrol on a rag will get the glue off afterwards...NO SMOKING PLEASE!!

Well I'll know in the cold light of day how it went, think the White spirits was ok but some black did come off , eek!!
Had to take it off cos it bubbled and creased and has been gradually been gettin worse in this heat. I do love tho and wud do it all again. Next time it comes off I'll have it sprayed in permanently.
Hope tom goes ok and this carpel tunnel I'm suffering with wasn't a waste of time.

Will keep ye posted.

Ah Jeez Ann,

Just be a little careful what stuff you use to strip glue...it might start stripping some paint as well.
Hope all goes well and look forward to seeing the new version... 8)

Might see it over the weekend maybe....

Cheers John.

Ah it's not that bad but given a choice I would have it sprayed however only know that cos I put vinyl on first as a taster of what it would look like and I'm off to do it again.. Next time it will be paint and I'll pay someone to take vinyl off.
