Today I refurbed ( with my hubby's master spraying. I did the prep ) the first of my four wheels !! It looks lovely really subtle and not
"too much" I'm really trying to resist the urge to do anything to my 5 MK1 that isn't original although I know at least one of you think I'll cave in and will ha ha !!

Thanks John,

Hubby is a brilliant sprayer so he did the work really, although I did put a lot of elbow grease into them first !!! Think I'm going try a lighter silver though as I'm not too happy with the "dull" look.

Looks way better now.

I found a leaky pipe and the cause of my over heating, triple checked the brakes scheduled NCT visit number 3 on the 16th. Lets see if 3rd times a charm, I hope, I hope, I hope.

Next phase in the refurb of my wheels
I didn't like the above colour so I sweet talked my hubby into re-spraying them metallic silver !!!

These next two pics are of the process. I'm delighted with them at this point so will see what they look like on the car tomorrow Will post a picture or two !!!

Fixed the cooling system. Cost 2.50 Euro. Oh well I hope it's worth it ;)

got gearbox oil diff oil break fluid clutch fluid.power steering fluid. rear break calipers.new back pads, small service done today . should see me right for a few more years.
