I am new to MX5s but have owned and been playing with cars and bikes for donkeys years,surely there is nothing unusual or different about MX5 calipers that they can't be overhauled without changing them? Sounds like the pistons are sticking which can be sorted by a half competent mechanic.

usually about 75e and we should have one but ideally bring the old caliper as sample just to be sure
