Front callipers mk1

Postby Rebelbloke » Wed, 22 May 2013 7:34 +0000

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a front passenger side calliper for a 92 mk1 eunos. My mech said it looks like it has seized although it hasn't yet been taken apart.

Anyone have one in the Dublin area that I could buy?

Thanks,

Ronan

Thanks Stag, yeah I tried him actually but he's away. Don't think he has any either.

MX5 parts do reconditioned ones for about £70 each when you exchange your own.
Do try to buy then in pairs also for balance.
Hope this helps,
Brian

My experience of recon calipers is that about 1 year later they leak again as the cylinder is only bored slightly larger ,to remove and scars etc,but the piston remains the same size so the rubber seals are slightly larger to compensate but not a great job really..!!!

Cheers for the feedback folks. Had the calliper taken apart and greased but still doesn't seem to be quite right and car is pulling to one side under braking. Will see how it goes for the moment & will give you a shout after the 30th Robert.

Thanks
