coilovers pair or springs (desperate)

Postby hoopsbhoy » Sat, 20 Jul 2013 5:43 +0000

Seriously bad week for this to happen to me but one of my front coilovers has shit itself and I have drive4charity next weekend.

No cash to get a new set for a few weeks so on the off chance, has anyone got a pair of front coilovers lying around or even a pair of lowering springs for very cheap?

cheers

Haven't drove car at all really. Went out to get it all set up perfectly yesterday and noticed the driver side was sitting over an inch higher with the coils at the same length. So went for a spin and there was knocking from the drivers side. Had it off today and the actual shaft has about 2mm movement in it :-(

Don't know much about these things really but I assume that's knackered and might not hold up to the abuse over the charity drive

Sorry fir not replying here. I was busy with the charity drive weekend and getting the car sorted for it.

I was flaffing around for ages and in the end I drove the car with the coilover on it. The difference in height was sorted, it seemed to settle after a bit of driving. Knocking was still there so needs sorting but it managed the whole trip not a bother and didn't get any worse.

Need to re-evalluate what to do now :-)
