Replaced the intake manifold with one I cleaned out + painted last Oct.

Added some intercooler pipes and intake I'd also painted.

This was it before, so am happy enough.

Also, big thanks to RLtd and Merlot Man for their horse work installing the roll bar I had sitting in the shed since last Dec too! :thumright: :thumright:

Replaced manky diff fluid with silky Mobil 1 stuff.

Replaced rear Bilsteins with s/h pair from Robert Autocheck (top man) to cure seasickness.

Replaced the awful double DIN stereo (c/w Mini-Disc player!) with a new Sony xplod unit and storage cubby from mx5parts

Changed the plugs, engine oil and filters and managed to spill oil all over the floor. D'oh. Dear Santa can I have one of those fancy plastic drain pans...

Next week I'm ordering a style bar and proper blinging it.

Made by greddy I believe, supplied with FM kits about ten years ago. Referred to as dustpan intakes :-) want one? Can try and source one for you.

Finished polishing my hardtop following painting. Waiting for the car to return from the pains hop when someone did it properly. Looking forward to a rebuild later in the week.

I suppose that warranted a reply! Ha!

Car arrived back from the paint shop today (thanks Peter & Christie!) so just looked at it for an hour in amazement.
Didn't really do much, drank tea & just looked at it. Loads to do but for the moment just happy. Looking forward to putting it all back together along with the new bits I got from Robert.
A thread beckons!

set about converting any surface rust, cavity waxing and undersealing the car today.

took out the front inner liners, mud flaps and the two lower wing bolts to clear them out... found this :

Image

Had some bubbling on the driver's wing

Image

This is how it looked behind it, mostly surface but might just replace it

Image

Under sealed Driver's and Passengers side

Image

Image

Moved to the back and did a bit of rust conversion in the driver's side sill (kinda over did it... but it'll dry), you can see the end of the tube sprayer in there

Image

Had a look in the passenger side... knew it wouldn't be good in there...

Image

ugh... rapped on it in a few places and easily poked through with a finger... so started digging with a screwdriver

Image

So... new passenger side sill needed ;-)

Image

Will do a bit more tomorrow on rear wheel arch/boot floor/rear subframe sealing.
